Rideable equines include horses, mules, donkeys and zebras. Horses, mules, and donkeys are very common on the Northern Continent, while only donkeys and zebras are common on the Southern Continent.
Both horses and mules may be bred as war-mounts; war-horses being the more common of the two.
Horses tend to be a bit flighty, but they are fast.
Mules are as fast as horses, less flighty, and intelligent enough to be incredibly irritating.
Donkeys are fairly slow, but can carry great weights and are level-headed. They can also be very difficult.
Zebras are very flighty, very fast, and can be incredibly difficult mounts.
For winged horses, see Windrunners.
